Scrum Master - remote

We are looking for a Senior Scrum Master, able to work fully remote, with immediate availability to start. The selected candidate will be working in an international team of one of our main partners, a US-based company from the pharma sector.

Type of agreement: freelance / contract.

Time zone: US EST.

Location: North America, LATAM.

Contract duration: 1 year.

No of hours of work in a week: 40 (8 hours / day, Monday to Friday).

In this position, you will be part of a team of 9 people. You will be responsible for facilitating sprint planning, Retrospective, and daily activities related to stand-ups and Sprint burn down and maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see and understand their progress during a sprint. In this role, you'll own and resolve identified impediments. You'll help build an environment where continuous deployment/ improvement of the development process is the focus, and everyone's common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible to our customers. As Scrum Master, you're responsible for leading the continual Agile transformation and practices and promoting accountability and transparency across all levels of the organization.

• You will be the forerunner of the team, setting the tone for the team culture. The Scrum Master drives and facilitates the Agile processes of the team to ensure the team delivers outcomes –to do this, the Scrum Master shields the Agile team from organizational bureaucracy and resources;
• Serves the team in any way possible–exhibits authentic "Servant Leadership" vs. "Boss" behavior;
• Leverages strong relationships with the broader organizational community to remove impediments for the Agile team and protect them from organizational bureaucracy;
• Develops a collaborative culture within the Agile team to inspire members to adopt Agile best practices and celebrate success;
• Coach the Agile team and the Product Owner on the Agile process through regular check-ins / 1:1s;
• Collaborates closely with the Product Owner to ensure that current Sprint user stories are up-to-Date and that future stories in the backlog are ready to be pulled into the next Sprint;
• Works with Agile team members regularly to capture changes to user stories in current Sprints and new stories as they emerge;
• Plans Agile ceremonies to maximize the team's productivity, e.g., by ensuring stakeholder presence, using team member's input from the Retrospective;
• Facilitate Sprint Planning and Backlog Refinement to help draft high-quality User Stories;
• Facilitate Sprint Review and ensure stakeholder presence
• Facilitate Retro and use feedback as input to plan future sprints;
• Attend Daily Standup.

What you bring:

• At least 5 years experience as an information technology professional in roles such as a software developer, technical project manager, systems administrator, database administrator, systems engineer, computer engineer or support specialist, engineering lead, technical team lead;
• previous experience in the pharma sector is mandatory;
• Have demonstrated ability and experience in technology solutions delivery in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment with demonstrated capabilities managing large scale, enterprise software requirements definition, designs and implementations in global 24-by-7 environments;
• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management or relevant disciplines;
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences;
• Excellent skills in planning, analysis, oral and written communication, consensus building, facilitation, negotiation, and the ability to readily learn a new business area;
• Proven capability leading projects in an Agile/DevOps environment;
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
