About the Position

Senior Designers drive the creative outputs across a range of digital projects – with a strong pedigree in visual design and demonstrated expertise in digital experiences. At FFW, you will keep visual design initiatives moving forward for some of our most significant and innovative clients. You don’t blink an eye when handed large-scale engagements for high-traffic content sites, e-commerce sites, and marketing campaigns—projects that are complex, wide-ranging, and require a seriously innovative mind. A Senior Designer should have an incredible drive to produce visual work at the forefront of what’s happening in digital media. They should be ready to present work to executive level client stakeholders and represent FFW at all stages of engagement.

FFW Senior Designers know how to express their ideas clearly and confidently. You are expected to lead by being an active participant in the process and deliver exceptional production-level outputs. We want you to create fantastic work and also want you to mentor junior designers and help shape their personal skills and design perspective.

You Will...

• Direct client interaction experience with the ability to build relationships, understand client vision/direction, and present designs and concepts. If someone has questions or concerns about the work, you’re up
• Produce meticulous, beautiful experiences that consider business and user objectives, brand guidelines, and channel specifications or requirements (websites, mobile applications, email, etc.)
• Create and present design deliverables with limited oversight, including design concepts, comps, experience strategy documentation, prototypes, style guides, pattern libraries, deliverable styling, etc.
• Present design decisions to the internal and client teams and iterate and implement feedback
• Work closely with Designers, UX Designers, Front- and Back-End Developers, Content Specialists, Business Analysts, and internal Project Managers to ensure all functionality and design is meeting client and user expectations
• Prototype complex interactions with high standards of usability in mind
• Serves as a resident expert of digital tools and is skilled in developing digital design concepts. Is well-versed with web technology, usability, and core development tools; understands web design constraints, including a strong understanding of designing for a CMS
• Foster the great creative culture and talent we have at FFW. We have amazing designers—help them get even better

You Have...

• 5+ years of relevant applied digital design
• Experience in an agency setting
• Significant experience creating exceptional digital brand experiences at a top digital agency in a Design Lead role or similar.
• Experience working collaboratively with UX, Designers, and Developers to build great user and brand experiences—we like team players at FFW.
• Highly conceptual thinking skills in both visual and interaction design and a solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, user interfaces, and navigation. These projects require people who can start at good ideas and push them until they are fully created.
• Whiteboarding and workshopping skills to help teams navigate complex challenges and ideas
• Good English skills both written and verbal
