About the Position

FFW is looking for an Associate Designer to join the Experience Design team to support and learn about creative outputs across various digital projects. You are a talented designer, a driven person with a passion for making delightful, ground-breaking work, and committed to producing exceptional experiences. You’re ready for hands-on projects at every stage of the lifecycle, from brainstorming creative concepts with the project team and developing original campaigns to participating in client presentations and ensuring deadlines are met all the way to launch.

You demonstrate strong conceptual thinking and the technical expertise and attention to detail that bring those creative ideas to life. Whether it is color, typography, or usability, you constantly strive for the perfect balance to enhance the expression.

FFW is a seriously collaborative work environment, so Designers need to collaborate across disciplines daily, from developers to analytics to client services, while maintaining high standards for original concepts and detailed execution. This is an opportunity to define and reinvent the digital space, and a passion for doing just that is critical.

You Will...

• Produce meticulous, beautiful experiences that consider business and user objectives, brand guidelines, and channel specifications or requirements (websites, mobile applications, email, etc.)
• Create and present design deliverables with limited oversight, including design concepts, comps, experience strategy documentation, prototypes, style guides, pattern libraries, deliverable styling, etc.
• Prototype complex interactions with high standards of usability in mind
• Serves as a resident expert of digital tools and is skilled in developing digital design concepts. Is well-versed with web technology, usability, and core development tools; understands web design constraints, including a strong understanding of designing for a CMS
• Foster the great creative culture and talent we have at FFW. We have amazing designers—help them get even better
• Design not only for the handoff but for the presentation

You Have...

• Experience creating exceptional digital experiences
• Experience working collaboratively with UX, Designers, and Developers to build great user and brand experiences—we like team players at FFW
• Highly conceptual thinking skills in both visual and interaction design and a solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, user interfaces, and navigation. These projects require people who can start at good ideas and push them until they are fully created
• Whiteboarding and workshopping skills to help teams navigate complex challenges and ideas
• A solid understanding and demonstration of user-centered design principles
